Day Care Programme

At Asia Pacific World School Daycare center we provide a supportive environment where each child is looked after with utmost care. We offer leisure, educational and recreational activities like sports, art and craft, dance, music, homework, etc. to the child. We offer a stimulating curriculum, qualified caring staff, cleanliness and safety of the ward with homely environment. The Daycare Center will be under CCTV surveillance. The timings provided at the APWS DAYCARE CENTER will be as follows

Early Childhood Years Programme (PRE-KG to KG 2)

Asia Pacific World School’s Early Childhood Centre provides an environment that encourages the natural curiosity and fearless sense of inquest of children aged between 3 to 5.

The programme fosters exploration and investigation using a variety of resources, in order for children to learn about themselves, the world around them. They are given opportunities to inquire, learn and play through reading, writing, art, construction, imaginative and investigative play, inside the classroom and outdoors.

Learning at the Kindergarten is designed to enjoy and will be an experience for children, thus making them come to school everyday.We give them the knowledge for developing a lifelong interest in learning. They learn by playing games, songs, sports and enact in creative activities.

Kindergarten creates an atmosphere where children feel respected and secure by providing a place of warmth, fun, joy and laughter for the little ones. Children are taken out on a nature walk where they observe the beauty of God’s creation. The play area is a place for fun, where students start to mingle with their peers and slowly gain confidence. This area is built on child safety measures, thus preventing children from getting injured.

Children are taught to discipline themselves and bring their body, mind, and spirit at peace and in harmony with nature.

Primary Years Programme (Grade I to V)


Cambridge International Primary Programme, is an enquiry-based process in learning. The core subjects are emphasised and the curriculum is enriched with a transdisciplinary process that prepares young students to be self-confident and respectful of other cultures. Cambridge Primary offers a flexible curriculum with integrated assessment for 5-11 year olds. Cambridge Primary sets clear learning objectives in English, Mathematics and Science skills for each year of primary education. It focuses on students' development in each year and provides a natural progression throughout the years of primary education, providing international benchmarks for schools. It is also excellent preparation for the next stage of a Cambridge international education, Cambridge Secondary 1 for students aged 11-14.

The school will also offers an integrated curriculum of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Our child-centered approach is designed using best practices from around the world and includes a holistic approach, with varied experiences and expressive processes which foster not only numeracy and literacy but also creativity and imagination.

Musicals, art, drama, and public speaking, are important components of the programme. The school sports a large range of co-curricular activities, aided by talented teachers, experts, and parental support. The Reading Programme allows detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each child, and the reading Club promotes good oral expression of the written word. Cambridge Secondary I Progarmme (Grade VI to VIII)


The Middle Years are a challenging time of transition for learners as they move from childhood to adolescence. This is a crucial period of personal, social, physical and intellectual growth, of uncertainty and questioning.

The Middle Years Programme is designed for students aged 11 to 16, teachers extend the academic teaching by helping students develop critical thinking, solve 'real-life' problems, develop knowledge of local and global issues, communicate ideas, engage in public debate and express creativity through action. Through this process, students develop a certain independence and maturity, learn to manage time and multiple expectations and become aware and confident of their academic and personal development.

The Middle School curriculum is based on the school's general academic aims of developing critical thinking and inculcating the attitudes and skills of successful life-long learners. The curriculum is aligned to the Cambridge International Primary Programme which precedes it and prepares students for the rigorous academic demands of IGCSE in grades 9 and 10. The Curriculum is designed to ensure that students have a smooth transition from Middle School to Senior School.

Cambridge Secondary 1 provides a seamless progression from Cambridge Primary to develop students' skills and confidence in English, Mathematics and Science. It offers a curriculum framework for educational success for students, typically 11-14 years old, with an optional testing structure. Cambridge Secondary 1 incorporates internationally benchmarked tests.

Tests for Cambridge Checkpoint are standardised, set and marked, to provide an international benchmark of student achievement enabling teachers to advise students and parents of the suitability of different progression routes. Cambridge Secondary 1 has been developed to link seamlessly with Cambridge Primary and provides standardised tests to allow careful monitoring of progress from primary to lower secondary phases. It also provides excellent preparation for students embarking on Cambridge Secondary 2; both for Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O Level courses.

At the end of the programme, Cambridge Checkpoint assessments are available to provide detailed feedback on students' strengths and weaknesses.

Cambridge Secondary II Programme (IGCSE / Grade IX & X)


The IGCSE is a comprehensive two year programme for Grades IX & X. It is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. It is a universally recognized qualification among international schools and universities worldwide. Various educational skills like recall of knowledge, teamwork, problem solving etc., are developed in this course. The course offers the best in international education and, being in pace with the changing needs, it regularly updates and extends the curriculum. It lays an excellent foundation for students who wish to continue with the IB Curriculum at the pre -university level.

Cambridge IGCSE is the world's most popular international curriculum for 14-16 year olds, leading to globally recognised and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualifications. It is part of the Cambridge Secondary 2 stage. Cambridge IGCSE, provides excellent preparation for the Cambridge Advanced stage including Cambridge International AS and A Levels as well as other progression routes. It incorporates the best in international education for students at this level.

Cambridge IGCSE encourages learner-centred and enquiry-based approaches to learning. It develops learners' skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, giving learners excellent preparation for the next stage in their education. Clearly defined learning outcomes and content, mean Cambridge IGCSE is compatible with other curricula and is internationally relevant and sensitive to different needs and cultures. Assessment for Cambridge IGCSE includes written and oral tests, course work and practical assessment. Course work is set and marked by the teacher and externally moderated by Cambridge.

In most subjects there is a choice between core and extended curricula, making IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities. Each learner's performance is benchmarked using eight internationally recognised grades. Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur twice a year, in May/June and October/November. Results are issued in August and January.

The resulting qualification provides a foundation for higher level courses, such as AS and A Levels. Cambridge IGCSE is recognized by universities and employers worldwide. Students who passed the International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE) with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the subjects are considered eligible for admission to the First Year Pre-University Courses of a PU college affiliated to the Department of Pre-University Education in Karnataka.

Cambridge Advanced Programme (AS & A Level / Grade XI & XII)


Cambridge International AS and A Levels are internationally benchmarked qualifications providing excellent preparation for university education. They are part of the Cambridge Advanced stage.

Cambridge International AS and A Level qualifications are widely recognised and valued by universities and employers alike. Some US universities give up to a year's credit as a result. Every year, thousands of Cambridge International A Level students gain places at good universities worldwide - including the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Cambridge International AS and A Levels are very flexible. Studentss have the freedom to select the subjects that are right for them - they either follow a broad course of study, or specialise in a particular area.

Cambridge International AS Levels have half the content of the corresponding Cambridge International A Level and may be completed in one year. Students can study Cambridge International AS Level alongside other subjects to increase breadth in the curriculum and build further knowledge and understanding to other subjects they are studying at Cambridge International A Level.

Cambridge International AS and A Level syllabus have been created specifically for an international audience. Cambridge International AS and A Level examination sessions occur twice a year, in June and November, with results issued in August and January respectively.

Cambridge International AS and A Levels use a wide range of assessment process and techniques to supplement formal written examinations - orals, practicals, projects and coursework of differing types are all used in various subjects where they are the most effective and appropriate means of measuring attainment.

Use of the Interactive Board, Internet (multi-media):

Teachers adopt new technology in teaching using Interactive board and multimedia. This method of teaching enables the students to have a concrete understanding of the topic as they are able to see actual photographs or view the videos of the specific unit for study. Students have access to the computer, tablets and the internet facility to complete their assignments.

Class Projects:

Simple project assignments are given to the students after a particular topic has been taught. This enables the students to “Learn by Doing”. This project is planned for individual students or for groups of three to five students.

Field Trips:

Field trips are organized for the students to visit places, gardens, museums or study sites on the school campus to make learning an unforgettable experience.


Periodic assessments are conducted and students are graded based on their performances. School follows a system of continuous evaluation and regularly provides parents with an assessment of their child's academic progress, based on a comprehensive system of reviews, reports and parentteacher meetings.

Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE)


Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE board) prepares the syllabus for students from Class 1 up to Class 12. The curriculum is set by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). The board conducts India's two nation-wide board examinations: the All India Secondary School Examination for Class 10 and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination for Class 12.

All major cities have CBSE schools, hence easy to move around in the country. The curriculum is very good when it comes to general knowledge and general subjects. It allows the kids to experience subjects without going deep into them thus helping them to choose the focus after Xth. This board prepares students for competitive exams like the IIT, CAT, IIM and all entrance exams which are held at national level and it gives better chances for appearing for Armed Forces Exams, NDA, IAS, IFS, IPS, etc. CBSE is a recognised board by the Govt. of India and is valid globally.
